Yuri V. Scherbatykh «The association between man’s handwriting and his personal characteristics and functional condition». In this work the relation between man’s handwriting and his personal characteristics, as well as anatomical and psycho-physiological features was investigated. It was revealed that man’s height and weight correlate positively with the size of lowercase letters jut, his mood — with the amount of breaks in words; man’s activity correlates negatively with the letter’s width, and state of health — with general size of letters. The angle of inclination of handwriting relates to anxiety of those under the test and to the degree of their dependence upon other people; the height of a personal signature correlates with aggression, fields to the left reflect tendency to idleness, fields to the right relate to altruism, and the upper jut of lowercase letters features the energetic type of personality. The article also demonstrates the groundlessness of some concepts about association between handwriting and man’s character.

Scherbatykh Yu.V. «To what extent the Lusher test of color choice measures the vegetative component of anxiety?». It was observed that the results of Lusher test of color choices have had weak correlation with the psycho-physiological characteristics of emotional stress: heart rate, the Spielberg level of situational anxiety and results of SAM inquirer (state of health-activity-mood). As a result of this, some doubts are cast upon the appropriateness of use of so-called “vegetative coefficient” and “standard deviation” of color choices for measurements of psycho-physiological state of those under test both at normal conditions and at stress.
